Need-Responsive Institutional Access to Justice in Armenia for Western Armenian Speaking Armenians

The goal of the project, that is funded by Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, is institutional mechanisms-sourced, legal protection-combined Western Armenian language knowledge deepening and spreading, targeting Western-Armenian talking refugees in Armenia, as well as Diaspora, which it aims to achieve through the following objectives: Public Defender Office (PDO) PDs’ Western Armenian and vulnerable beneficiary-specific key skills enhancement via focused trainings and technical capacity enhancement for efficient aid provision to target beneficiaries through facilitation of Western Armenian institutional platform; substantial increase of legal consciousness of beneficiaries about their essential rights and freedoms, as well as country-specific guidance on their due exercise, increase of level of awareness on key institutional free legal assistance providing mechanism – PDO, respective eligibility criteria, procedures and forms though development of respective guidelines and PSA; and direct free legal aid provision to beneficiaries.
